Our mission

We, a coalition of concerned citizens, stand united with resolute determination to spearhead the transformation of our nation's governance by dismantling the current system, which is rife with mismanagement—a primary catalyst for the moral, social, and economic decline gripping our homeland. Our Constitution, twisted to favour the interests of a select few and maintain their grip on power, has morphed into a repressive regime tainted by corruption, perpetuating an institutionalised 'debt' crisis and the dissolution of our national assets.

Our primary mission is to dismantle these faltering institutions and pave the way for a people's constitution, validated through a public referendum. We advocate for electoral reform that upholds the principles of equal suffrage, meritocracy, and regional representation by and for residents. Once established, the newly elected legislature will focus on implementing an independent five-pillar governance structure comprising the Legislature, Executive, Judiciary, and Independent Commissions, all governed by a supreme Constitution.

The Legislature will be bifurcated into an ethically bound 'Parliament,' consisting of 196 elected members, and the transformation of the ‘national list’ will give rise to a 'Senate,' comprising 29 selected members. This restructuring reinforces robust mechanisms for checks and balances.

These reforms will serve as the vanguard for:

  • Achieving comprehensive economic recovery and elevating living standards.

  • Effectively eradicating corruption within a stringent two-year timeline.

  • Upholding the rule of law to ensure universal human rights and the rights of Habeas Corpus.

  • Nurturing an ethical citizenry with abundant educational opportunities.

The foundation of the proposed constitution and the five-pillar governance will encompass:

  1. Restoration of people’s power eroded by the current fraudulent electoral system.

  2. Enforcing fiscal discipline and constraints to ensure surpluses in the Budget, Balance of Trade, and Balance of Payments.

  3. Ensuring transparency and accountability among public officers, including elected officials.

  4. Social responsibility towards pregnant mothers, children, and the differently-abled.

  5. Assisting communities and societies in fostering good health, skills development, and educational support to enhance employability both domestically and internationally.

  6. Protection and promotion of sensitive and limited ecosystems and economic resources.

  7. Promotion of equality, unity and reconciliation among communities to achieve harmony peace and sustainable development.

  8. Ensuring access to university education for all students meeting minimum entry criteria alongside vocational training opportunities for others.

"#System Change Peramuna' will uphold its non-political stance, without allegiance to any specific party or ideology but embracing inclusivity. Operating as a national organisation, it will transcend political, racial, and religious divides. Leaders will collaborate towards establishing a fully liberal, non-aligned democracy, fostering a peaceful, harmonious, and rapidly developing nation. Our aim is to become the most attractive nation in the Southeast Asian region for both investors and tourists. Additionally, we will warmly welcome our migrants back to the motherland, facilitating skill-sharing initiatives.
